Ingredients Needed to MakePeaches and Cream Popsicles

Chopped fresh peaches — You’ll need about 4 medium ripe peaches to get 2 cups.

Sugar

Vanilla

Greek yogurt

Milk — We used whole milk.

Can You Make These Peach Popsicles Dairy Free?

We used full fat ingredients consisting of greek yogurt and whole milk to get the creamiest texture.

Greek yogurt has a thick consistency because most of the water has been removed. It also has a slight tangy flavor which adds a sweet and savory component when mixed with the peaches.

However, you can certainly substitute the ingredients to still achieve creamy peach popsicles! Simply, swap out the greek yogurt and whole milk for dairy free items like coconut yogurt or almond milk.

How to Make Peaches And Cream Popsicles

To make the simple syrup:

In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine 1/2 cup of water and 1/2 cup of sugar. When it comes to a boil, turn down the heat and simmer for 5 minutes, until all the sugar is melted. Set aside and let cool.

To make the peach mixture:

1 — Combine the fresh peaches and 2 tablespoons of water in a saucepan over medium heat.

2 — While heating in the pan, crush the peaches gently with a potato masher or wooden spoon. You want to make sure that you don’t burn the peaches, but heat them enough to let them juice.

3 — When the peaches are mostly just clumps, strain the mixture over a bowl and keep the peach juice.

4 — Add the simple syrup to the peach juice until it’s sweetened to your liking. We used about 3/4 of the simple syrup.

To make the cream mixture:

Mix together the greek yogurt, milk, sugar and vanilla.

To create the layered look:

Alternate pouring the peach mixture and cream mixture into the popsicle mold, freezing for 20 minutes in between each layer.

Once filled, insert your popsicle sticks. Freeze the popsicles for an additional 2-4 hours (ideally overnight or until they’ve reached a solid state.

Recipe Notes and Tips

Can you use frozen peaches?

We only recommend using fresh peaches since this recipe calls for its peach juice. So you may use peach juice instead. Just keep in mind that the addition of simple syrup will make it very sweet.

The recipe calls for fresh chopped peaches. Make sure to remove the peach pits beforehand. Then, chop the peach slices. The riper the peach, the better to get the most juice.

Different ways to experiment with the flavors

Swap out the simple syrup for brown sugar simple syrup or mint simple syrup.

What do I do with the leftover peach simple syrup mixture?

We only used about 3/4 cups of the peach simple syrup mixture. If you have any leftover, don’t throw it out! Store it in an airtight container in the fridge. It pairs well in baked goods or in co*cktail recipes that call for simple syrup like peach daiquiri or .

How long do the peach ice cream popsicles keep?

The popsicles will keep in the freezer for about 8 weeks. To remove popsicles from popsicle molds, run them under warm water until they loosen.

What if I don’t want the layered look?

We think one of the best things about these peach cream popsicles is the pretty striped look. But you’ll save a lot of prep time if you combine the peach and cream mixture together.

Make sure to individually make each mixture separately first. Then, combine both mixture and pour it into your popsicle mold.
